Gone are the days where we spent our precious time brewing different teas in the pots on the cookers. Nowadays, you can make different varieties of teas in a matter of minutes with little to no effort at all.
If you have an iced tea maker machine, give the following iced tea recipes a try. You will definitely love them, I promise!
1. Mixed Berry Iced Tea
Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and other berries are all fortified with powerful antioxidants that ward off diseases and reduce the cancer risk. What’s the tastier way to get your daily dose of antioxidants along with vitamins than a freshly brewed mixed berry iced tea?
Ingredients:
- 2 green or black tea bags
- 1/4 cup mixed frozen berries
- 1-2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
Directions:
Add 2 tea bags to a filter basket and fill the reservoir with water. Place mixed berries in a container and brew tea into it. Fill with ice, stir well, and enjoy!
2. Peach and Orange Iced Tea
The amazing combination of sweet peaches and slightly sour orange juice will turn any boring green tea into a cool beverage. This tea is chock full of vitamins, particularly vitamin C, which help boost the immune system and increase the energy levels.
Ingredients:
- 2 green tea bags
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup ripe peaches, cubed
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
Directions:
Place green tea bags flat in your filter basket. Place cubed peaches into a container. Add water to the reservoir and brew tea into the container. Add orange juice and ice cubes to it. Stir and enjoy!
3. Rhubarb Hibiscus Iced Tea
If you crave something unusual, try this rhubarb hibiscus tea. Serve with rose petals for an added flavor and taste.
Ingredients:
- 2 hibiscus tea bags
- 1 cup water
- 3 stalks of rhubarb, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon raw honey
- 1 cup ice cubes
Directions:
Bring to a simmer 2 cups of water and rhubarb in a small saucepan. Simmer for 20 minutes and let it cool. Strain the rhubarb mixture and set aside.
Place hibiscus tea bags in your filter basket. Add the rhubarb mixture to a container. Pour water into the reservoir and brew tea into the container. Add raw honey and ice cubes to it. Stir and enjoy!
4. Lime Apple Juice Iced Tea
If you have a pitcher-like iced tea maker and you’re a lime lover, you should try this recipe for sure. Apple juice adds a sweet touch to the tea so don’t worry about the bitter taste.
Ingredients:
- 1-2 limes, sliced
- 1/3 cup fresh apple juice
- ¾ cup water
- 3 teaspoons green or black tea
- 3 teaspoons raw honey
- 1 cup ice cubes
Directions:
Fill the glass pitcher with water and apple juice. Add the lime slices and gently press with a long spoon. Stir well and add honey and ice cubes. Screw the head of the tea maker’s back on. Open the lid from the head and place the tea. Pour boiled water into the reservoir and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
